Hiya all, thanks for visiting us, and thanks for reading our first real entry!
Tablegrok.com is first and foremost a way to share our love for board games and other hobbies, but also, our first attempt to hone our ability to create engaging content.
You may wonder (or not, in that case see below for an overview of what you can expect from this site) whom I’m referring to when I say “we” and “our”. The founder of this site and most likely the primary content creator would be me, Filip, a 40+ year old backend developer from Sweden. We will also bring in some guest writers with a different take on board games and it’s culture.
You may also have the pleasure to see content by my better half, Becca. Last but not least, our dog Zeus will most likely add his charm to the mix in a more visual way (does anyone have a lead on paw-friendly keyboards?).
So, what can you expect as a reader? We will have some, relatively, static content, like;
- “Top 5 games” – This list will always be updated with our current top played games, simply put, our favorite games in our collection.
- “Wishlist” – Our most anticipated games, this could be unreleased games, or released games that we really want to try out, but we haven’t had the opportunity yet.
- “Glossary” – If you’re new to the board game scene, there may be a whole heap of terminology that’s not really easy to grok (You see! Perfect example Filip, why thank you Filip). This glossary will be updated when a new expression enters the Zeitgeist, or if the common interpretation of a term has changed.
- “Start here” – This section is more geared towards those that are starting to explore the board-gaming hobby, and will include links, resources, tips and tricks. However there may also be some things of interest for the more experienced gamers out there.

And much, much more, we’re bursting with ideas and we don’t want to spoil too much for you.
